FEZ board uses USBizi chipset so FEZ is in fact USBizi! Somehow this seem not to be clear for everyone.
We created a new line of products that is targeted for beginners http://www.tinyclr.com/. Those boards are called FEZ (Freakin’ Easy!)
The beginner boards are based on our existing NETMF products, currently only using USBizi http://www.ghielectronics.com/product/116
Why did we do that? When we create a new board for evaluation or write a tutorial, we had difficulties in selecting if we are making a board/document for a professional or for a hobbyist looking to get into the embedded world. .NET Micro Framework is so easy to use to the point that professionals can develop amazing projects in very short time, and at the same time, hobbyists can do things they never thought they could do! USBizi, EMX and ChipworkX are products with so many powerful features that professionals always seek and at the same time they are so easy to use, hobbyists are able to use them.
With FEZ being open source, developers can use the design files of FEZ as a reference design to start their own. Also, FEZ boards are ideal for professionals looking for prototyping new designs or looking for evaluating .NET Micro Framework.
So what forum to use if I have a question, FEZ or USBizi?
