Fast suspended reaction time < 1 sec (assuming not possible)

Hi there, building a variant of a trailcam, considering the new Linux options, and how slim I can make it. One important consideration is the power usage and the reaction time. Will probably need to suspend or power down the system, and the boot time now is about 18 seconds. So, in that time the deer will be gone. Considering a small MCU with PIR and camera, that wakes up the core system for sending and other stuff.

But will it be possible for an interrupt to wake/boot/switchon a Linux based OSD3358 boards for reaction so it can take a picture in less than 1 sec?
