Does this mean we will see a return of the Arduino format shields, new sensors that just have pin headers, and more Pi hats? The catalog is really thin now and I have some of old shields and quite a few Fez sensors.
@ PintSize.Me - the web is full of shields and sensors, from seeed Grove to the thousands found on eBay, which are extremely cheap. GHI is staying away from building “accessories”, at least for now, and focusing on the core systems and the user support. For example, have you seen last Friday’s tech talk on the display shield?
@ Gus, it is certainly true that there are other accessories out there, however I have yet to find another company that has the quality, documentation, support, and community of GHI.
I did watch the tech talk, and as the display said, FEZ is great, so I was hoping for more FEZ.
@ PintSize.Me - absolutely more FEZ. We want to make it easier to use cheap accessories from around the web. Videos, code, examples, recommendations…etc.
so i can better not use gadgeteer references anymore to make my devices future proof ?netmf 4.3 still has some gadgeteer references. Why dont go a step further over to arduino specs than there is one microprocessor reference for all. is for me the future there is a good arduino tool in visual studio now. i am doing a lot off 315 433 868 Mhz for domotica programming but i cant find very very little on that subject in netmf and indeed very very expensive modules for that in netmf
